It is in my experience better than Omeprazole, and Ranitidine which I tired for my acid reflux. However, the Lanzoprazole has caused lots of small red bumps on my skin and my skin does not heal like it used to if it gets cut. I am going to try Probiotics instead as they are supposed to have other benefits, obviously these cannot just be taken by anyone and you should always consult your GP before taking any new medicine no matter what it is. You have to look out for 'contraindications' which means the way that medicines interact with each other. These effects can seriously damage your health and you need to research these things and help yourself as much as you can by making sure you know that what you are putting in your body is safe.

Profile

Lansoprazole is used to treat certain stomach and esophagus problems (such as acid reflux, ulcers). It works by decreasing the amount of acid your stomach makes. It relieves symptoms such as heartburn, difficulty swallowing, and persistent cough. This medication helps heal acid damage to the stomach and esophagus, helps prevent ulcers, and may help prevent cancer of the esophagus. Lansoprazole belongs to a class of drugs known as proton pump inhibitors (PPIs).
